President Obama!!!

My prayers have been answered. Mommy, Daddy, and I did a happy dance tonight. We've been waiting to do that for our new President since 2004, when mom heard him speak on that TV thing. He didn't mention dogs then, but he did in his Presidential Speech. I love dog people.

If you wanted the other guy to win... it's ok. Contrast is how you find what you really want. And really, we all want the same things. We want happiness for our families. We want safety for our loved ones, and for our country. We want to be financially free. We want to love and to be loved. We want the world to be a better place. We want our neighbors and ourselves to be free from crime. We want peace and we want harmony in our lives. We want less to worry about and less stress.

We all have different ways of getting things done and since we want the same things ultimately, I believe we can come together. Yes, we can find mutual ground. We have done it so many times before. We have a great country. We have a great life, in freedom. And, now we have a great President, for the next 28 years!

Fleas and Ticks

I hate Fleas! Ticks, too! Nasty little creatures that disrupt my naps. I can feel them crawling on me, and that bugs me enough, but then they bite down, and ouch! Then the itching starts. I try to get them off of me with my teeth. Hard to find. They hide in my hair so we can’t see them. Mom says we want to keep them away so we are all healthier. Sometimes it’s tricky though. She tried all kinds of things to get rid of them. She used natural stuff like Diatomaceous Earth, Eucalyptus Oil, Orange Oil, and Home Pest Control Orange Guard. They just kept hanging around. She uses flea combs which I love....when I show her where one is, the flea comb pulls it right off. And the comb feels good since I’m itchy. Mom says, "show me your tummy", and I roll onto my back so she can comb it. If she finds one, she puts it in a little bowl of water and dish detergent (and says a little prayer for it's soul).

Finally, as the battle wore on over the summer, she decided to go full guns and take the advice of our Vet. Now we are using both Frontline Plus and Advantage Topical Flea Treatment. The thing is, in our neighborhood… fleas outlive Frontline, and Advantage doesn’t get rid of the ticks at all. So, the last time we went to the Vet, she told us to switch between them, month to month. We used Frontline and the ticks went away. Yeah! Near the end of the month, mom saw a flea. So, she used Advantage that month, and now the ticks are back. It's a roller coaster. This month, we are going back to Frontline. We have lots of cats in the neighborhood and we believe they carry the fleas from yard to yard. The ticks, we might pick up when we go for walks… wait...

Decisions Decisions

So, I’m sitting here right now, watching my mom and dad edit photos on that computer thing that takes most of their attention. They’re deciding whether to go to dinner or to order in, which they do sometimes. I’m hoping they decide to order in, and then they’ll stay home with me. They said something about Pizza. Mmm… It always smells yummy, but they don’t give me any. Every once in a while, I sneak a piece from the kitchen counter. If they find out though, they get a little grrrrrr.

I love to eat. My favorite food... Milk Bones! For dinner I eat Muenster Milling Dog Food. They are a based in Texas, and my mom likes to buy local when she can. It smells kind of funny, and the only way I like to eat it is with California Natural Oil Food Supplement. My mom did mention the other day that she might try a new food. I’ve been very healthy though since I started eating Muenster, so she hasn’t switched it yet. She does want me to lose weight though (we were all surprised to find out I weigh over 90lbs!), and she wants me to eat something I enjoy. I mean, don’t get me wrong. I’d eat the Munster without the Oil if I had to, but it’s much better with it, and I know how to schmoooze her with my eyes until she adds a little. So, the new food… I think she’s researching it now. She likes to feed me a more natural diet, so she’s on the hunt for something that’s good for me and that has a yummy flavor, because she knows how important that is to me. Since I like the Supplement, she is considering California Natural Dog Food She always switches my food gradually, mixing in a little of the new with the old, until gradually I’m eating all new stuff. That way, its easier on my stomach…. And on everyone else in the house, I guess. I’ve been known to clear the room with a smellyness. Can’t help it.

Well, I think they’ve decided to pick something up and bring it home to eat. Maybe…. Maybe they’ll take me with them! I gotta go! I wanna go! I gotta go! Bye
